Celebrating 25 Years- Teaching in Uganda
For 25 years, IVU has sent teams of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to low-resource countries, where they work with local doctors and nurses to train them in urology. IVU’s partnership with sites in Uganda are profound & well-established, dating back nine years.
Over the course of a decade, IVU volunteers have served more than 611 patients in Uganda and trained more than 213 Ugandan providers. This has amounted to more than $2.5 million in service.
Through the COVID-19 pandemic, IVU volunteers have continued working with IVU’s partners in Uganda by offering Virtual Visiting Professor Lectures.
Now, we need your help. Please help us make the next 25 years just as impactful as IVU’s first quarter century. For every $1 donated, IVU provides $20 in services.
You can help us raise $2,500 to commemorate our 25 years. Your donation will cover the hard costs of conducting workshops, such as paying for medical supplies. IVU volunteers pay for their own expenses, use their own vacation time, and often purchase and donate medical supplies independently.
Thank you for helping us teach one, reach many. We are incredibly grateful for your support.
