Celebrating 25 Years- Teaching in Sierra Leone
For 25 years, IVU has sent teams of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to low-income countries, where they work with local doctors and nurses to train them in urology. IVU’s partnership with sites in Sierra Leone date back to 2011. During this time, IVU volunteers have served 177 patients and trained 65 providers in the country. This has amounted to more than half a million dollars in service.
Now, we need your help. Please help us make the next 25 years just as impactful as IVU’s first quarter century. For every $1 donated, IVU provides $20 in services.
You can help us raise $2,500 to commemorate our 25 years. Your donation will cover the hard costs of conducting workshops, such as paying for medical supplies. IVU volunteers pay for their own expenses, use their own vacation time, and often purchase and donate medical supplies independently.
Thank you for helping us teach one, reach many. We are incredibly grateful for your support.
