Celebrating 25 Years- Teaching in Rwanda
For 25 years, IVU has sent teams of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to low-resource countries, where they work with local doctors and nurses to train them in urology. IVU’s partnership with sites in Rwanda are profound & well-established, dating back eight years.
Over the course of nearly a decades, IVU volunteers have served more than 380 patients in Rwanda and trained more than 260 Rwandan providers. This has amounted to more than $3.7 million in service.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, IVU volunteers will soon continue working with IVU’s partners in Rwanda by offering Virtual Visiting Professor Lectures.
Now, we need your help. Please help us make the next 25 years just as impactful as IVU’s first quarter century. For every $1 donated, IVU provides $20 in services.
You can help us raise $2,500 to commemorate our 25 years. Your donation will cover the hard costs of conducting workshops, such as paying for medical supplies. IVU volunteers pay for their own expenses, use their own vacation time, and often purchase and donate medical supplies independently.
Thank you for helping us teach one, reach many. We are incredibly grateful for your support.
